Audiences will actively participate in a real-time survey on Shanghainese, marking their linguistic footprints on a map of Shanghai. Through this interactive process, they will uncover the complexities inherent in the concept of "Shanghainese," observe how they and others perceive and experience the dialect, and reflect on the underlying identity issues revealed by these interactions.
